Depression means you will always be susceptible to falling back into old habits. I got very depressed when I first moved to France feeling very alone and used as the lockdowns happened. It was a defining moment for me because I had never had the space to just ‘be me’. Now that I had this french freedom, I trusted my talent and put my thoughts into this song to remind myself that no matter what happens the show must go on because so many people need inspiration from those who have felt darkness. The song is my vulnerability, a reminder to practice what I preach through my music.
